Where to stay on Ischia: how to choose the right area

The island of Ischia is divided into six towns, each with a distinct character: Ischia Porto is where the ferries arrive, with the Aragonese Castle and the life of the Corso; Casamicciola Terme and Lacco Ameno hold the island's thermal tradition and the Fungo bay; Forio, the sunset side, concentrates the widest beaches and the Poseidon Gardens; Serrara Fontana runs down to the village of Sant'Angelo and Sorgeto bay; Barano is the green area above the Maronti beach. Caldoglaciale by Sunlux Viaggi has been hand-picking hotels area by area since 2001, with an operational base on the island.

What's the best area to stay on Ischia? It depends on your trip: for beaches and sunsets, Forio is best; for thermal spas, Casamicciola and Lacco Ameno; to arrive conveniently without a car, Ischia Porto; for peace and quiet, Sant'Angelo and Barano. If you haven't decided yet, take a look at the current hotel offers or ask us for advice: we'll reply within 24 hours with a tailored suggestion, and you can add excursions with the Ischia Red Carpet service and the thermal parks to your stay.
